The Journey Continues:30 days of fever

Yesterday and so far today Richard's temperature has not reached 101. It has stayed in the100.s or lower.  He even was almost normal a few times yesterday but he is still having trouble with being able to walk and breath at the same time.  He seems fine when he is resting except for the bouts of coughing.

Today, and I know it is early, he has not thrown up!!  He said he is hungry and that is a good sign!

Yesterday I did call the Doctors and they said to call them if his temperature started going up again or if his breathing didn't calm down while resting.  They have him an appointment with the infectious disease doctors on July 11th though they are trying to get an earlier date.  I told them that he has to be in the City next Wednesday for an infusion so that would be a good day but she wouldn't make any promises.

Maybe there are signs of the pneumonia slowing leaving his body.  I know that you guys are still praying and it is so much appreciated!!!! Thanks!!

8:45am  I blogged to soon, Richard just threw up! Yuck!! LOL He also reminded me that one of the PAs had called him yesterday afternoon and told him that his red blood count is low and needs to be checked again Monday to see if he will need a blood transfusion.  She also asked him some stupid questions like, are you fatigued and short of breath!! HELLO what is wrong with you people???? How many days in a row have I called and told you this!!!!  I did ask the nurse yesterday if she would ask Richard's two main doctors how they would like it to have fever 29 days in a row??  I haven't heard their answer yet! :)

James 5:16

New International Version (NIV)
16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
