How beautiful are your feet?

                                     How beautiful are your feet?  I think mine are pretty ugly!!

After many years of walking on my feet, stepping on nails, splinters and gravel, breaking and stubbing toes, suffering a very painful avulsion fracture and then arthritis settling in several toes my feet could be worse.  I think they are ugly though!  My feet can still be used though!! My feet can take me to spread the good news!  

The Good News is that Jesus is Lord and Savior!  He came to earth for you and for me!! He died and rose again because of our sin.  What Christ suffered is beyond my comprehension!   When He knocks will you open your heart and let Him in!!  

Revelation 3:19-20

If God calls me to tell the good news, even if it is walking to the computer and posting about the Good News, going on Mission trips or telling my next door neighbor I should do it!!

The Journey Continues: WHOO HOO More Good News!!

I had a hard time not running to the computer as soon as walked in the door this evening.  I had some news to share but first there was supper, watching the news and then Idol to see who was eliminated. The whole time I was thinking about Richard's news!!!  I couldn't wait any longer!! I had to let you guys know!!!

Dr. Selby, himself, called Richard a little before five and gave him news that Richard has been waiting so long to hear!! HE CAN PLANT A GARDEN!!  HE CAN MOW THE LAWN!! His t-cells are high enough that Richard was given a green light! Last month they were too low and he was cranky!  He is not cranky tonight!

My mind really wasn't on supper, the nightly news or Idol as I thought of the good news and how excited I was to share.  It made me realize that good news is so fun to share!

It also made me think of the Good News of JESUS my SAVIOR and how I need to be just as excited to share that news!!  IT is the best NEWS ever!!  I need to eliminate all the distractions and be ready to plant the seeds of GOOD NEWS!  Richard's news gave him a new perspective on life but the GOOD NEWS of my JESUS will save lives!!

The Sun

Sunday in Enid we had hopefully our last blast of winter and woke up to snow on the ground.  It wasn't much measuring maybe an inch but it was nice to look at.  On the way to church the sun broke through the clouds in a glorious display! It sprinkled light over the earth and showered it's rays over the snow.

We left church a few hours later to find that the sun had brought forth enough warmth that most of the snow was gone leaving an ugly picture behind.  It had melted the snow showing the brown grass, mud and a few straggling green plants.

It reminded me of the Son.  The One who's light exposes my ugliness left behind after my exterior is stripped away.  His light melts through my outward appearance and uncovers the truth.  It shows the nasty sin that lives inside.

The good news is that the Son's light covers me and will shield me.  He saved me!!  He looked beyond my selfish desire and covered me with His blood. His light now shines in me!
